Local woman to run in Boston Marathon

Stephanie Abraham, age 35, may live in Chapmanville, W.Va., but she will prove to everyone just how Boston Strong she is on Monday, April 21 when she runs in the prestigious Boston Marathon.The Boston Marathon is any runner’s dream race. The course is a tough 26.2 miles through the hills of New England, the admittance is highly selective, and it is the oldest marathon in the United States. In fact, the first one was held in 1897.


BOE approves increase in county supplement

Professional and service personnel of the Logan County Board of Education will receive pay raises in the next school year.At the BOE meeting held April 10, the increase was unanimously approved.
