More than 200 people came to the Logan County Courthouse on the last day of Early Voting for the November 6 General Election.
“It’s been very busy,” said Logan County Clerk John Turner. “Last Saturday was 192, this Saturday is was roughly 280.”
At 5 p.m. closing time, there had been 283 people vote the last day of Early Voting. The total amount of Early Voting was 1,796, and the Clerk’s office has received 188 absentee ballots.
“It’s been real smooth. We have a system here… taking the number tickets, that way nobody can jump the line,” said Turner. “I have a great staff, they are fantastic.”
Turner said Early Voting ballots, along with the absentee votes, will be counted Tuesday evening.
“They will be tallied up when everything is brought in,” said Turner. “Tuesday is going to be busy. In 2008 we did 13,983 total county votes, hopefully this year we will surpass that.”
