STOLLINGS, W.Va. — Nixola “Nickey” Smith of McConnell passed away Monday, December 3, 2012, at Trinity Healthcare of Logan.
She was a daughter of the late Park and Ida Brinegar Pritchard. Also preceding her death were husbands, Joseph B. McKenzie and Richard C. Smith; brothers, Haskel, Arnold, Billy Joe, and Donavan Pritchard, and sisters, Velma Jean Clark and Blanch Hall.
Those left to cherish Nickey’s memory include her daughter, Marian McKenzie Shuff and husband C.B.; grandchildren, Mike Shuff and Terri Tilson and husband Jim; brothers, Tom Pritchard and Clarence Pritchard; sisters Charlene Pritchard, Dextia Smith and Mabel Freas, and a sister of the heart, Lena Adkins.
The family would like to thank the caregivers who cared for Nickey at home, Sue Bartram, Juanita Elkins, Joni Godby and Sherry Harrison. And a heartfelt thanks also to Trinity Healthcare Services, the East Wing nursing staff, and special friends Ron Powell and Marcella Kelly.
A memorial service is will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, December 13, at First Baptist Church of McConnell with Pastor John E. Godby officiating.
Friends may call on the family one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the First Baptist Church of McConnell.
