CLOTHIER, W.Va. — Paul Edward Spears, 30, of Clothier, went home to be with Jesus Tuesday, November 20, 2012, after a brief battle with cancer.
Born February 6, 1982, in Austin, Texas, he was a son of Ida Faye (Shorty) Holbrook of Jeffrey and Terry Allen Spears of Clothier.
Additionally, those left to cherish his memory include his precious son, Lucas “Luke” Paul Spears, and his mom, Kasey Thompson Spears; a brother, Allen (Kim) Spears; sisters, Teresa (Jr.) Ellis and Terrie Leigh Spears of Bim; special nieces and nephews, Patrick Spears, Mark Spears and Leah Spears, all of Jeffrey, and Carly Ellis of Clothier; special aunts and uncles, Vancie and Tootie Holbrook, Jabo and Catherine Holbrook, Jimmy and Ruth Holbrook, Robert and Miss Holbrook, Elwood and Annamae Holbrook, David and Linda Spears of Chapmanville, Jean Hagen of Georgia and Brenda and Lanny Cross of Nashville, Tenn.; and a host of cousins and friends. Known to all the kids as Uncle Paul, he will be sadly missed.
Services were held at the Handley Funeral Home in Danville with Ralph Caudill and Edsel Aleshire officiating and singing by Ginger Dials, including a special song for mom and the baby. He was laid to rest at the Brown Cemetery at Spruce Laurel.
