WEST LOGAN, W.Va. — Mrs. Helen I. Damron, 84, of West Logan, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at her residence.
Born June 7, 2013 at Crum, she was a daughter of the late Edgar and Stella Chafin Pertee. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Jimmie Damron; daughter, Betty Booth; two sisters, Juanita Ramirez and Bertha Pertee; one brother, Bud Pertee; one granddaughter, Tina Keaton, and her first love, Luther “Bill” Keaton.
Mrs. Damron was a faithful member of Yuma Church of Christ for 45 years and spent 19 years with the Logan County Board of Education as a Teacher’s Aide.
Survivors include one daughter, Billie Pyatt; two sons, Dale Keaton and David (Debbie) Damron; three sisters, Mattie Fritz, Janice (Cliff) Collins and Nara Wilson; one brother, Raymond Pertee; six grandchildren, Kenny Keaton, Michael Pyatt, Kevin Keaton, Mickey (Nicole) Booth, Keri Wood and Kim Bias; 13 great-grandchildren, and two special friends, James McDonald and Delores Hicks.
Graveside services will be conducted at noon Friday, January 11, at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby with Pastor Clifford Collins Officiating.
Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services at Chapmanville is in charge of arrangements.
