HARTS, W.Va. — Mrs. Grace E. Adams, 88, of Harts, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at her residence.
Born January 27, 1924, at Shively, she was a daughter of the late John and Bessie Farley Butcher. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Wirt R. Adams, in March 2012.
Grace enjoyed the outdoors, hunting with her husband, canning, working in the garden and baking pies. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Mountaineer Baptist Church.
Survivors include five brothers and sisters, Ann Horvath of Brecksville, Ohio, John Butcher of Sarasota, Fla., Troy Butcher of Brunswick, Ohio, Uldeen Kalkbrenner of Parma, Ohio, and Charles Butcher of Leavittsburg, Ohio; 35 nieces and nephews, and an additional host of friends and family.
A special thanks and grateful appreciation to her niece, Lanabell Mullins, for her loving care of our sister during her last days.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 12, at Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Leroy Spurlock and Joe Pritchard officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
