DELBARTON, W.Va. — Brandon Edward Townsend, 34 of Delbarton, departed this life Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at Catenary Coal Road at Charleston.
Born November 12, 1978, in Logan, he was a son of Judy Muncy Townsend of Logan and the late Walter Townsend. Also preceding him in death were his grandparents, Jefferson and Mary Townsend and Hubert and Verba Muncy.
Brandon was a loving son, husband and father who loved being involved in sports. He enjoyed his time with his family and friends, especially his children.
Additionally, those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Natasha Nicole Townsend; one daughter, Amelia Townsend of Delbarton; three sons, Corey Townsend of Logan and twin boys due in March of Delbarton; three brothers, Ricky (Sandy) Clay, David (Joni) Townsend, and Paul (Andrea) Townsend; his father and mother-in-law, Bruce and Mildred Ooten, and a host of other family and friends.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, February 10, at the Freedom United Baptist Church at Laurel Creek with Eddie Hatfield officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Saturday at the church.
Pallbearers will be Darren Neil, Larry Jackson, Jerry McCellan, Robert Ilderton, Tommy Browning and Darth Ooten.
Honorary pallbearers will be family, friends and co-workers.
Freeman Funeral Home of Chapmanville is in charge of the arrangements.
