LOGAN, W.Va. — Mrs. Anita Iris Hapney Harrison, 61, of City View Drive, Logan, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2013, at Logan Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family.
Anita was born September 29, 1951, in Logan, to the union of the late Henry Albert and Beulah Marie Holcomb Hapney. Also preceding her in death was a sister, Patty Mabry, and brothers, Dennis, Roger and Henry Hapney.
Anita graduated from Logan High School, Class of 1969. She married the love of her life, Thomas Harrison, on February 20, 1970, making their marriage last 43 years and four days. To this union three children were born.
Survivors include her loving husband, Thomas Harrison, sons, Thomas Jr. (Norma) Harrison and Steven (Ruby) Harrison and daughter, Joani (Wallace) Starr, all of Logan; sister, Brenda Wolford of Logan; brothers, Steve (Pam) Hapney of Logan and Roy Hapney of Indiana, and grandchildren, Stephanie Harrison, MacKenzie Jones, Joseph Starr, Zoey Starr and Trey Ray, all of Logan.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 27, at Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Pastor Clifford Rawls officiating. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Friends and families will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Chapmanville is serving the Harrison family.
