STIRRAT, W.Va. — Nellie May Marcum, 83, of Stirrat, departed this life Sunday, February 24, 2013, at her residence.
Born February 5, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Hugh and Sena Hutchinson Gillum. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Robert L. Marcum; one son, David Marcum; three grandsons, James David Marcum II, Joshua Brandon Marcum, and Jerry Dee Marcum; two brothers and seven sisters.
Nellie was a homemaker and a member of the Barnabus Independent Memorial Freewill Baptist Church.
Those left to cherish her memories include one son, Robert Jerry (Sherry) Marcum of Stirrat; one daughter, Judy (Willie) Johnson of Stirrat; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 1, at Barnabus Independent Memorial Freewill Baptist Church with Shane Dennison and C.D. Wolford officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Pallbearers will be Randle Marcum, Brian Johnson, Michael Jeffrey, Steven Mauk, Hugh Phillips, and Johnny Williams.
