HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Carl Allen Adkins, 29, of Huntington, passed away Friday, March 1, 2013, in Logan.
Born February 13, 1984, at Charleston, he was a son of Larry Adkins of Wayne and Carrie Dingess Dye of Cairo.
Carl was a practicing attorney in Logan and was a member of the West Virginia Bar Association. Preceding him in death were his grandfathers, James Adkins and Romie Dingess, and an aunt, Brenda Adkins Veres.
Additional survivors include his fiancée, Allison Subacz of Huntington, and their dogs, Tiqui, Remy and Fat Head along with their cat, Hercules; brother, Kyle Anthony Adkins of Huntington; paternal grandmother, Mary Lou Adkins of Wayne; maternal grandmother, Victoria Dingess of Cairo, and six very special cousins, Brandon Adkins of Huntington, Bobbie Lynn Lanham of Dayton, W.Va., Ashley Meagan Blind of Auburndale, Fla., Micah Veres of Charleston, Amanda Tomblin of Chapmanville and Kevin Dingess of Teays Valley.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 5, at Morris Funeral Home Chapel at Wayne with Brother Buster Maynard and Elder Leo Maynard officiating. Burial will follow at Community Memorial Gardens at Wayne.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Little Victories Animal Shelter.
Morris Funeral Home of Wayne is in charge of arrangements.
