LOGAN, W.Va. — John Fitzgerald Farmer, 48 of Logan, passed away Friday, March 15, 2013. Born March 20, 1964, in Logan, he was a son of Donald and Carol Farmer of Chapmanville.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Leward and Opal Farmer and Columbus and Celia Ann Johnson, and one sister, Diane Jean Dillon.
John enjoyed spending time with family, friends and fishing.
Additional survivors include two sons, John O’Brian (Natasha) Farmer of Whitman and Preston James Dobbins of Monaville; three brothers, Donald Farmer Jr. of Welch, Andrew (Kathy) Farmer of Sod, and Brandon (Kelly) Farmer of Charleston; three sisters, Delores Jude and Susan (Teddy) Pridemore, both of Wharton, and Tammy (Mark) Long of Whiteville, N.C.; two grandsons, Aidan O’Brian and Dakota James of Whitman; his ex-wife, Norma Sue Farmer, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 22, at James Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Doug Sparks officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
James Funeral Home of Aracoma is in charge of arrangements.
