Eight errors doomed the Logan High School baseball team in a 10-4 loss to T.L. Hannah (S.C.) in its second Mingo Bay Classic game at Socastee, S.C., on Wednesday afternoon.

Logan dropped to 4-2 overall and 1-1 in the Myrtle Beach tournament.

Z. Minnick pitched five strong innings for Logan but the Wildcats couldn’t overcome the eight errors committed in the game.

Trent Dalton and Chase Preston finished the game by pitching well over the last two innings but the sloppy play in the field proved to be the difference.

Logan was paced at the plate by Minnick who went 3-for-3 with three RBI. Kyle Harvey was 2-for-3. Josh Rein, Benji Adkins and Chase Preston all added singles.

T.L. Hannah improved to 13-2 with the win.

Logan outhit T.L. Hannah 8-5.

Logan was scheduled to return to action with Thursday afternoon’s Mingo Bay Classic game against Bishop Grimes (N.Y.). The Wildcats then are set to play on Friday and possibly Saturday as well in the South Carolina tourney.

Logan returns to West Virginia to play at Nitro on April 9.
