LOGAN, W.Va. — Joann Marcum Maynard, 72, of Logan, departed this life Sunday, April 7, 2013, at South Charleston.
Born April, 2 1941, in Logan, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Ora Jones Marcum. Also preceding her in death was her husband, John Maynard; infant child, Randolph Reagan, and two sisters, Linda Lester and Patricia Thompson.
Joann was a homemaker and formerly being cared for by her sister, Brenda, and niece, Michelle.
Survivors include one son John Maynard Jr. of Kermit; one daughter, Bambie (Alvie) Spaulding of Verdunville; three brothers, Robert (Shirley) Marcum of South Charleston, Tolbert (Zelphia) Marcum of Canada, Ky., and Jimmy (Kim) Marcum of Madison; four sisters, Brenda (Reather) Fields of St. Albans, Carolyn “Kay” O’Shields and Gloria (William) Butcher, both of Holden and Elizabeth (Howard) Compton of Logan; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, at the Mud Fork Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Junior Collins officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be accepted by Honaker Funeral Home.
