AMHERSTDALE, W.Va. — Mr. Gregory Q. Ball, 65, of Amherstdale, passed away Friday, April 19, 2013, at CAMC Memorial Division in Charleston.
Born September 15, 1947, at Logan, he was a son of Florence Meyer Ball and the late Ernest Ball.
Mr. Ball was a graduate of Logan High School, class of 1965, and went on to further his education at New Mexico Tech where he received a Bachelor Degree in Mining Engineering. He was a retired Environmental Engineer for the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection. He was a member of the Chapter K WV District Goldwing Road Riders Association and an Amateur Radio Operator.
Also preceding him in death was his maternal grandmother, Thelma Meyer, and his paternal grandparents, Roy and Josie Ball.
Additional survivors include his wife, Linda Mauk Ball; children, Gregory Scott (Michelle) Ball of Monaville and Shanna (Herby) Pruitt of Amherstdale, and grandchild, Samuel Scott Ball.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, at Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Herby Pruitt and Rev. Donald Lafferty officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby with Military Graveside Rites.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services at Chapmanville is in charge of arrangements.
