HOLDEN, W.Va. — Reta “Danette” Anderson, 60, of Holden, originally of Wichita, Kan., departed this life Monday, April 15, 2013, at her residence.
Born February 5, 1953, she was a daughter of Lucille Cleveland of Clarksville, Tenn., and the late Gerald Wooten Cleveland. Also preceding her in death was her father and mother-in-law, Troy Jr. and Bertha Anderson.
Danette is awaiting the promise of the resurrection to rule with Christ forever. Danette enjoyed all of her “babies” and to know Danette was to love her. She never met a stranger and always had a smile on her face. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and watching the fish in her pond. The things she put first in her life was God, family, and then everyone else (no exceptions). Danette loved everyone, and will be missed.
Additionally, those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Michael Glenn Anderso; five daughters, Cassie (Bill) Pryor of West Logan, Leena Henry (Juan Vasquez) of Nashville, Tenn., Rhiannon Henry and Raylin Henry, both at home, and Michelle (Eric) Wright of South Point, Ohio; two sons, Coty (Danielle) Hodges and Tyler (Brittany) Hodges, both of Chattaroy; four grandchildren, Jackson Henry, Reta Vasquez, Brian Abbott and Jordan Wright; three great-grandchildren, Saphiria Hodges, Bethany Ellen Jade Hodges and one due in July; two sisters, Denine Cleveland of Clarksville, Tenn., and Renee (Robert) Lewis of Fort Worth, Texas; two brothers, Grant and Kent Cleveland, both of Florida, and a host of other family and friends that she loved dearly.
Services will be held at noon Tuesday, April 23, at Freeman Funeral Home with Mr. Paul Shumway officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
