CHAPMANVILLE, W.Va. — Mrs. Nora Lee Bryant Gore, 79, of Chapmanville, was born July 5, 1933, at Leet, a daughter of the late David Skeens and Pearl Toney Vannatter. She departed this life Friday, May 3, 2013, at Trinity Healthcare Services at Logan surrounded by her family and friends.
Mrs. Gore was retired from the Logan County Board of Education and a member of the Chapmanville Church of Christ.
Also preceding her in death was her first husband, Frederick A. Bryant; second, Olson Gore; son, Glen Ray Bryant, and three brothers, Pete, Marvin Guy and Johnie Ray Vannatter.
Survivors include her children, Judy G. Farmer and Kathy Sue Bryant, both of Chapmanville; Frederick W. Bryant of Florida, Jack (Alice) Bryant of North Carolina and Kimberly A. Bryant of Holden; sister, Reva M. Vannatter of Dunbar; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, at Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services at Chapmanville. Burial will follow in the Guyan Memorial Gardens at Godby.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Steele, Chad Farmer, Timothy Milligan, David Fields, Daniel Fields and Marty Welch. Honorary pallbearer will be Tyler Bryant.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Chapmanville is in charge of arrangements.
