WHITMAN, W.Va. — Hurtis D. Blue Bryant, 61, of Whitman, departed this life Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at Logan.
Born May 22, 1951, in Holden, he was a son of the late Robert and Eunice Bryant. Also preceding him in death was one son, Jennings J. Bryant.
Hurtis enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He also liked operating equipment.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Lottie Bryant; two sons, Jason (Glenda) Bryant and Albert Bryant; daughter- in-law, Brenda Bryant; five sisters, Nancy (Charley) Casto of Harts, Edith (Luthen) Whittington of Mississippi, Retha (Virgil) Black of White Oak, Vellecce (Bobby) Dixon of Boone County, and Teresa (Sherman) Crum of Chapmanville; four brothers, Curtis Bryant of Holden, and Ora Jerry (Janet) Bryant, Douglas (Mary) Bryant, and Mickey (Becky) Bryant, all of Harts; eight grandchildren, Tyler Bryant, Stacey Bryant, Jace Bryant, Rachel Bryant, Jenna Bryant, Hailey Bryant, Robert Bryant and Aaliyah Cull, and a host of family and friends..
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 26, at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Agie Bryant officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Freeman Funeral Home of Chapmanville is in charge of arrangements.
