A meeting to discuss community gardening will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2013, at 2 p.m., beside the community garden at Shamrock (in front of the Shamrock Freewill Baptist Church).
Melissa Stewart from the W.Va. State University Extension office, and community garden organizer extraordinaire, will be facilitating a meeting to discuss ways community gardens, like the one at Shamrock, can be used to get Logan residents healthier, happier, and more connected to one another.
Anyone or any group, such as veterans and veteran groups, afterschool programs, families, neighborhood watch programs, soup kitchens, mayors, church congregations, health services, local businesses and restaurants and schools is encouraged to attend and learn or share ideas on how gardening has the potential to meet personal or organizational missions.
Please RSVP by calling Rickey French at 304-752-9277, or email him at email@example.com.
