BARBOURSVILLE, W.Va. — Neva Jean Gibson, 81, of Barboursville, formerly of Sharples, went home to be with Jesus Sunday, June 2, 2013.
Born January 7, 1932, in Branchland, she was a daughter of the late Lucian and Letha Porter Adkins. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Hubert Gibson; one daughter, Willa Jean Steinberg, and one grandson Brian Gibson.
Survivors include four daughters, Sharon (Bill) Mullins of Madison, Vicky (Doug) Brown of Blair, Marcie (Rod) Rollins of Chapmanville, and Kim Gibson of Barboursville; two sons, Chelcie (Bobbi) Gibson of Huntington and Roger (Carol) Gibson of Barboursville; eight grandchildren, Tawnya Gibson, Lauren Gibson, Billy and Ryan Mullins, Ali Steinberg, Amanda Kish, Cole and Cody Brown; three great-grandchildren, Maddie and Marlie Mullins and Alivia Kish; a host of nieces and nephews and special care givers, Gloria White and Jada Scarberry.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 6, at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel by Rev. Chelcie Gibson and Rev. Joe Lane. Burial will be in Lucian Adkins Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2013 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home
