A criminal complaint filed in the magistrate court of Logan County by a West Virginia State Police officer states Christopher Ryan McKinney, 22, of Whitman, was arrested and charged with second degree robbery.
The report says McKinney forcibly took between $20 and $30 from the victim at the Rich Station at Cora.
According to the victim, after sharing a brief dialogue with McKinney, who demanded to use the pay phone she was using, he ripped the money from her hands and walked away.
The victim told the officer she was in fear of bodily injury when McKinney approached her, because he was bloody and bleeding and appeared to be “messed up on something,” and seemed violent and unpredictable.
McKinney’s bond was set at $25,000.
