CHAPMANVILLE, W.Va. — Margie Ferrell Dingess, 80, of Chapmanville, was born November 23, 1932, at McBeth, a daughter of the late Delbert and Nellie Baker Parsons. She departed this life Monday, June 10, 2013, at Boone Memorial Hospital.
Preceding her in death was one son, Ronnie Ferrell, in 1973, and one sister, Margaret Short.
Margie was a former Chief Tax Deputy for the Logan County Sheriff’s Office for many years, a member of the Chapmanville Woman Club and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include one daughter Karen (Mike) Tiller of Chapmanville; two grandsons: Chad (Deborah) Tiller of Wayne and Adam (Tiffany) Tiller of Chapmanville; three very special great-grandchildren, Cole, Bristol and Zeke, and one sister: Lillian McDonald of Crooked Creek.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Manila Church of Christ with Mr. Rex McDonald and Mr. Mel Gresham, ministers, officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
The family wishes to give a special ‘Thanks’ to Boone Memorial Hospital Doctors and Staff, also the Hospice Staff, for their wonderful care.
