VERNER, W.Va. — James H. “Jimmy” Browning, 64, of Verner, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Saturday, June 15, 2013, at Bluefield.
Born July 7, 1948, he was a son of the late Clayton and Anna Santon Browning.
Jimmy was a 1966 graduate of Gilbert High School. He worked as an equipment operator.
Those remaining to love and cherish the memory of Jimmy and to mourn his passing include his daughters, Heather (Chuck) Blevins of Marietta, Ohio, and Toni (Doyle) Bradford of Bluefield; three brothers: Dale Browning of Verner, Teddy ( Martha) Browning of Isaban, and Dallas (Debbie) Browning of North Carolina; five grandchildren, Emily and Jackson Blevins, Michaela Brooke and Alexandra Kate Bradford and Skyler Mckenzie Burgess who is currently serving in the U.S. Army, stationed in Pensacola, Fla.
Services will commence at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, at the Verner Community Church with Rev. Peggy Ryder officiating. Jimmy will be buried at Browning Family Cemetery in Verner. Family visitation will be from 5-6 p.m. and friends may gather with the family from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the church.
