MITCHELL HEIGHTS, W.Va. — Richard Lee White, 66, of Mitchell Heights, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Friday, June 21, 2013.
Born March 1, 1947, in Monaville, he was a son of the late Fannie Mae Kubas of Mitchell Heights and the late Carl White of Peru, Ind. Also preceding him in death was one brother, Paul White of Peru, and one nephew, Matthew Lund of Jensen Beach, Fla.
Richard retired from Valley Market after 29 years of employment. He was a faithful member of the Verdunville Church of God for over 20 years. His life centered around his church and family especially his two grandchildren. He enjoyed gardening and reading. He had a heart of gold and was always there to help those in need.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Barbara White; one son, John Richard White of Mitchell Heights; one daughter, Christa (Michael) Podunavac of Conover, N.C.; two grandchildren, Dylan and Cadence Podunavac of Conover; one brother, Carl (Pam) White of Holden; one sister, Barbara Ann White of Jensen Beach, Fla., and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, at Verdunville Church of God with Rev. Michael Hartwell officiating.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
James Funeral Home of Aracoma is in charge of arrangements.
