At approximately 8 a.m. on Thursday, Logan County Sheriff’s Department Cpl. B. D. Cobb received a call from Logan County 911 in reference to a motor vehicle crash involving a passage car and a loaded school bus near Limestone Branch on WV Rt. 10.
There were 18 students and the driver on the bus, but no injuries were reported.
According to both drivers and an independent witness, the bus driver passed up a stop where a student was, stopped, and then backed northbound in the southbound lane of WV Rt. 10. The bus backed into the passenger vehicle which was stopped behind it.
LEASA and Fire Company 300 assisted our department at the crash scene.
