HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Cecil Mullins, 81, of Huntington, formerly of Ferrellsburg, departed this life Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Huntington.
Born November 25, 1931, in Ferrellsburg, he was a son of the late Lonnie and Ida Mullins. Also preceding him in death was his wife Mamie Rakes Mullins, and one granddaughter, Vickie Adams.
Cecil was a retired coal miner and a member of the Ferrellsburg Church of Christ. He enjoyed bowling, bingo, chewing tobacco, and reminiscing with buddies at the Heritage Center.
Those left to cherish his memory include three daughters, Carol Lambert, Phyllis Bryant and Diana Tomblin; two sons, Cecil Mullins Jr. and Sherman Mullins; two sisters, Juanita Runyon and Myrtle Ferrell; one brother, Clovis Mullins; 10 grandchildren, Derek Mullins, Brittany Mullins, Rick Lambert, Philip Lambert, Paul Lambert, Angela Lambert, Misty Howard, Scott Mullins, Jamie Bryant and Michael Tomblin, and 20 great-grandchildren, Olivia Grace Mullins, Brannon Hughes, Bryce Hughes, Myah Neumier, Naomi Lambert, Wyatt Lambert, Devi Lambert, Zachary Lambert, Madalyn Lambert, Dillon Lambert, Emily Lambert, Rilynn Lambert, Derek Lambert, Bailee McClintock, Kaden Howard, Kinley Mullins, Olivia Paige Bryant, Tashena Adams, McKayla Tomblin, and Landon Tomblin.
The family would like to say thank you to friends, caregivers, and staff of Heritage Center.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, at Freeman Funeral Home with Minister Greg Mullins officiating. Burial will follow at Mullins Family Cemetery at Ferrellsburg.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Freeman Funeral Home of Chapmanville is in charge of arrangements.
