HENLAWSON, W.Va. — Ramona Jean Carper, 84, of Henlawson, went home to be with the Lord Monday, July 1, 2013.
Born February 15, 1929, at Henlawson, she was a daughter of the late Alderson and Zella Hale. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Robert Carper; one son, Bobby Carper; five sisters, Thelma, Rebecca, Betty, Arbutus and Linda; five brothers, Ralph, Paul, Bill, Tommy Joe and A.D. Hale, and two granddaughters, Wendy Jean Morgan and Kristi Dawn Conley.
Ramona was a loving mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish her memory include three daughters, Joyce Carper, Marsha Morgan and Terri Turner, all of Henlawson; two sons, Chuck (Dollie) Carper of Logan and Brian Carper of Henlawson; one sister, Naomi (Harold) Ward of Henlawson; one daughter-in-law, Sandra Carper; four grandchildren, Larry (Lisa) Conley, Tommy (Val) Carper, and Leah (Wendell) Knight, all of Charleston, and Jason Carper of California; 13 great-grandchildren, Chance, Kya, Alexis and Michael Morgan, Brandon, Mollie, Maggie and Madeline Conley, Reece and Declan Carper, and Calla, Cailyn and Payden Knight; a special niece, Debby Morgan, and a host of additional nieces, nephews and friends.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 5, at James Funeral Home with Pastor Rocky Chafin officiating.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
