DAVIN, W.Va. — Marilyn Corns Collins, 76, of Davin, left this life Tuesday, July 2, 2013, from her residence after a long illness.
Born June 3, 1937, at Accoville, she was a daughter of the late Clyde Leonard and Ocie Dempsey Corns. Also preceding her in death was her husband of 45 years, Theodore “Ted” Collins; one brother Benard Corns, and one sister, Mary Cobb.
Marilyn was a homemaker and wonderful mother.
Those left to cherish her memory include her three children, Susan Collins of Huff Creek, Paul Collins and his wife, Misty, of Amherstdale, and Thomas Collins of Cross Lanes; four grandchildren, Cody Collins of Huff Creek, and Jonathan, Nick and Emily Collins, all of Amherstdale; two sisters, Naomi Harless of Cyclone and Sara Curtis of Florida; one sister-in-law, Mercedes Corns of Davin; many nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank three special care givers, Kristy Curry, Carolyn Boykins, and Susan Albright.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Friday, July 5, at Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home Chapel at Man.
Honoring her wishes she will be cremated following the service.
