No late registrations will be accepted at SWVCTC

August 6, 2013

Students of Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College (SWVCTC) will no longer be permitted to register late. In the past, students were given an opportunity to register late, however that is no longer the case, so students must register early.

SWVCTC based their decision of halting the late registration because research has shown that students who register late for classes tend not to do as well academically as those who register on time. That’s because the first day of class is one of the most important days. If you miss it, you’ll have a difficult time trying to catch up.

There are other benefits to registering early:

• You’ll give yourself the best chance of getting the class you want

• You’ll have more time to pay your tuition

• Academic advisors will have more time to help you

• You’ll cut down on stress by getting your classes lined up.

The last day to register for Fall 2013 Semester classes at SWVCTC is August 15. For more information contact Student Services or visit their website at www.southernwv.edu
