JEFFREY – A Van man was arrested Saturday on several charges, including possession of meth and carrying a concealed weapon.

Scott Wesley Walker, 37, of Van, was stopped by Boone County Sheriff’s Deputy Cpl. Eric Eversole on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2013, driving near the Spruce River Market area in Jeffrey.

Walker was driving on a suspended driver’s license.

A search of the vehicle resulted in police finding methamphetamine (meth) and a concealed hand gun, which was fully loaded. The firearm had been altered by having the serial number obliterated from the weapon.

Police also found several hundred dollars in cash.

Walker was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, possession of methamphetamine and driving on a suspended or revoked driver’s license.
