One of a kind
It’s getting that time of year again for the Logan High School Hall of Fame nominations.
There is a man that’s been overlooked many times. He’s not your average person or football player. He was born with one arm and become an outstanding football tackle.
I don’t even believe I know of any other football players that had only one arm and excelled like he did. He received a football scholarship and attended Concord College for a while and played on their football team also.
His actual profession was an underground mining foreman, which he done for 25 years. I don’t think I know of any one arm men that worked in the coal mines either.
This wonderful man that I am writing about is my brother, Arvis Lee Curry Jr. I know him and his life well and he is one of a kind.
A very proud sister,
