MAN — The Man High School volleyball team ran its record to 13-5-1 on the season with a 2-0 wins at home over county rival Chapmanville and 3A Lincoln County on Tuesday night at the Man Memorial Fieldhouse.
The Lady Billies won the match 25-10, 25-18 over Chapmanville then took a 25-16, 26-24 victory over the Panthers.
Chapmanville dropped to 5-6 on the season.
Lady Billies coach Orlando Washington said his team played very well.
“Hunter Harvey served really well for us in this match and has helped us with her ability to set and do other thing,” Washington said. “Mika continued her consistent play. I feel like we are still not talking enough to each other on the court and our rotations are still slow.”
Man returns to action on Thursday night at home against Greater Beckley Christian and Tug Valley — a pair of Class A sectional foes.
“We have yet to beat Greater Beckley in the two years that we have been in the new section so its a big game for us. We also play Tug Valley. The action starts at 6 p.m. and everyone is encouraged to come out and support the team,” Coach Washington said.
