Coalfield Championship Wrestling will host a benefit event, Wrestling for Warriors, tomorrow, Sat., Nov. 2, at Logan Elementary School. Proceeds from the event will go toward the medical expenses for Brayden Gage Newsom and Tracy Dale Evans.
Although the card is subject to change, the area’s favorite wrestlers — “Rock and Roller” Tommy Gibson, Pyscho, “Adorable” Danny Ray, “Big Daddy” Gordy and “Wild Thing” Justin Conley — are scheduled to appear.
Along with the family entertainment, there will be several gift certificates, items or services raffled that has been donated by area businesses. Business contributing is Chirico’s of Logan; Giovanni’s of Logan; Sud-C’s donated a car wash; Family Discount of Mt. Gay donated gift basket; Family Discount of Stollings donated a floral arrangement; a handmade baby Quilt donated by Donna George, and Four Seasons Country store donated a gift card. Don Browning’s Jewelry of Logan has making a donation. Jason Smith will be setting up a table to sell Origami Owl Jewelry, and concessions and homemade bake goods will be sold.
Brayden, the 3-year-old son of Miranda and Jesse Newsom of Chapmanville, was born with Hirschsprung Disease and Colonic Artesia. He has had six surgeries and the seventh will be November 18th in Columbus, Ohio, at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Brayden will undergo a procedure where they will remove his colon and then reconnect it.
Tracy Dale Evans, age 5, is battling cancer of the brain and spine. He is presently in the hospital at Cabell Huntington waiting on more information from Cincinnati Children’s Hospital on further treatments. He is the son of Rachel Thomas and Sherman Evans.
Bell time is 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Logan Elementary School. Tickets are $10.
