Child Poverty meeting set for Thurs.

Several Logan County organizations are inviting area citizens to a community meeting set for 5:30 p.m. Thurs., Nov. 21, at Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College Room 111A. The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss the statewide campaign to end child poverty.

Those attending will also have the opportunity to enroll in Medicaid Expansion for W.Va. and register to vote. Free refreshments will be available.

The event is presented by the Logan County Family Resource Network, American Friends Service Committee, LEAD Community Organization, Children’s Home Society of WV, Growing Healthy Children, PRIDE Community Services, B.A.P.S Youth, and Enroll LOGAN County.
