The cold water challenge is still roaring strong in Logan County, and one local school decided it was time to get their student’s involved. A class of Chapmanville Middle School eighth-graders stepped up to the plate on Fri., June 6.
Their challenge , which was issued by CMS teachers, was a little different than most.
The students were challenged to raise awareness for a charity of their choice by raising money and being sprayed with cold water by representatives of the Chapmanville Fire Department.
The students chose to donate their money to the Cory “Bird” Price Memorial Toy Drive.
The drive contributes toys and other items to KVC to provide toys for underprivileged children on holidays and special occasions. Since being established four years ago, the toy drive has donated more than 1500 items to KVC.
