Fatal ATV accidents

Two local residents were killed in separate ATV accidents over the weekend.

Tyler Frye, 14, was reportedly killed in an ATV accident that happened Sunday night near Omar.

Frye recently completed 8th grade at Logan Middle School where he played on the basketball team. His father, Jay Frye, is a Trooper with the West Virginia State Police. Collins Funeral Home of Switzer is handling the funeral arrangements.

The community will be hosting a Prayer Service for Tyler’s family Monday night at 7 p.m. in the Logan Middle School Gym. Prayer and counseling will be available for anyone in need by local Pastors and Youth Pastors.

Jackie Frye, 35, of Accoville reportedly died in an ATV accident on Saturday in the Tamcliff area. Jackie was pronounced dead upon arrival of emergency responders. Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home of Man is handling the funeral arrangements.

Jackie and her husband Darby Frye reportedly crossed the center line and hit a truck head on.

Sources say that Darby is in a Huntington hospital and is in critical condition.
