FRANKLIN FURNACE, Ohio — Big Sandy Superstore, a Top 50 Home Furnishings Retailer, based in Franklin Furnace, Ohio, has announced a Charity Challenge event, which will benefit numerous charities throughout the Tri-State area.
The opportunity to give back to the local community is something that is important to Big Sandy Superstore and its Executive Team.
“We hosted a similar event last August and raised nearly $10,000 for charities throughout our communities,” CEO Robert Vanhoose said. “We are excited to extend this weekend opportunity again this year!”
Charities large and small have partnered with Big Sandy Superstore for this event, which features a “Discounts for Donations” program. This program allows Big Sandy customers to receive a percentage discount on items purchased to match a donation to one of the partner charities, up to a maximum of a 10 percent discount for donations of $10 or more. The customer gets to choose from a list of the partnering charities, as to who will receive their donation.
“The response last year from charities was very good.” Dan Evans, Director of Marketing, said. “This year it has been even more so. The charities that benefited last year are some of the most active charities in our communities in which we live. This weekend we are challenging our customers to support the participating charities’ goals and missions, by means of donations. We are thrilled to be able to give back to our communities in such a profound way.”
The event will occur at all Big Sandy Superstore locations from August 15 until August 19.
Big Sandy Superstore, celebrating their 61st Anniversary this year, is a Top 50 Home Furnishings chain of stores that operate in Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia and online.
