Couple to wed Nov. 25 - Robert and Donna Tomblin of Holden would like to announce the engagement and forthcoming wedding of their daughter, Jennifer Lynn Tomblin, to Patrick Tyler Frazier, son of Robert and Doris Frazier of Man. The bride-to-be graduated from Marshall University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in 2006 and will be graduating with a Master of Arts degree in Elementary Education and an education specialist degree in School Psychology in the spring of 2012. She is employed at McDowell County schools as a school psychologist. The prospective groom graduated from Man High School in 1998 and attended Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College where he studied computer technology and accounting. He's an I&M technician employed with Frontier Communications. The couple will be exchanging vows at 3 p.m. Friday, November 25, 2011, in Gatlinburg Tenn. The couple will be joined in matrimony in the presence of their closest friends and family members.

Couple plan May 2012 ceremony - Kelly Krantz would like to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of his mother, Rebecca Lynn Williams Krantz of South Man, to Rick browning of Madison Creek. Becky is the daughter of Freed and Gloria Williams of Mallory. Rick is the son of Earl and Carol "Sue" Browning of Madison Creek. The couple plan to wed at 1 p.m. May 5, 2012, at the Claypool united Methodist Church. The gracious custom of an open ceremony will be observed. A reception will follow at Man Middle School.

Six years old - Kylie Ann Conley celebrated her sixth birthday on November 17, 2011, at Plaza Lanes with family and friends. She is the daughter of Kyle and Patty Conley.

Introducing - Kaeden Shooter Mack Matney is so excited to announce the birth of his baby brother, Keegan Jett. Jett was born at 3:21 p.m. at CAMC Women's and Children's Hospital in Charleston with Dr. Scott Hunter as the attending physician. He weighed 7 pounds, 11 ounces and was 19 inches in length. Shooter and Jett are precious baby boys of Rocky and Ashley Matney and the grandsons of "Pop-pop" Mack and "Nana" Nancy Goodman, Connie Walls and the late Cecil Matney. They are the great-grandsons of Betty Parsley. They have three proud uncles, Rick (Tina) Goodman, Ronnie (Whitney) Goodman and Greg Matney and are the adored cousins of Devon, Dylan and Dana Goodman.

Hensley honored with baby shower - A baby shower was held on November 12 at the First Christian Church of Logan to celebrate the upcoming birth of Phoenix Rayne, the daughter of Patricia Hensley and Ricky Lilly. Phoenix's arrival is predicted for December 20th. The shower had for its theme baby giraffes with the traditional pink accents. There was a strawberry cake with chocolate chip cupcakes courtesy of Cortney's Cakes. Baby Phoenix will be the dranddaughter of Jake and Diane Hensley of West Logan, Debbie Lilly of Cross Lanes, and Rick and Melissa Lilly of Camden, S.C. She will be welcomed to this world by her Aunt Jessica Hensley and Uncle Jason Agan and her cousin Alec Hensley. She also has a paternal uncle, Ryan Lilly. Those attending the shower or sending gifts were Patricia Clark, Shirley Butcher, Janet, Rex and Lucy Browning, Barbara Browning, Doris Wood, Arabel Hatfield, Jessica Hensley, Ann Thornhill, Kim Brown, Christina Spry, Nola Kinser Alice Henlsey, Bre Hensley, Carrie Mullins, Tiffany Calloway, Lisa Anderson, Erika Cline, Teresa Richards and Ashley Starkey. Debbie Lilly and Jeanie, Jamie Browning, Melissa Lilly, Linda Woodard, Pam Szucs, James Taylor, Norma McCloud, Sharon Moorehead, Becky Adkins, Hazel Hale, Kim Hale Sarten, Jeff Hale, Mamaw and Papaw Robinson and Cortney Marsh. The shower was hosted by Patricia's mother, Diane Hensley, and her neighbor, Hazel Hale, both of West Logan.

Two years old - On Saturday, August 20, 2011, Kaeden Shooter Mack Matney celebrated his second birthday with a construction themed party at Pizza Hut with family and friends. Shooter is the precious baby boy of Rocky and Ashely Matney and the grandson of "Pop-pop" Mack and "Nana" Nancy Goodman, Connie Walls and the late Cecil Matney. He is the great-grandson of Betty Parsley. Shooter has one little brother, Jett. Those attending or sending gifts were the honoree; his parents; little brother Jett; grandparents; great-grandmother; Uncle Ronnie Goodman; Lisa Lester and children Josh, David and Kaleb; Jessica Maynard and son Robert; Barbie Grimmett and children Katie and Hunter; Devon, Dylan and Dana Goodman; Mandi and Abi Lowe and Johnanna Thomas.
