The Logan County Chamber of Commerce recently made a monetary contribution of $500 to the Logan County Community Fund to assist the organization in its 2010 campaign.
The Logan County Community Fund is a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting agencies and operations in Logan County. Each year, applications are submitted to and voted upon by the Community Fund’s Board of Directors, which selects six agencies to receive financial funding per year. The six agencies receiving contributions for 2010 are: Red Cross, Boy Scouts of America, Girl Scouts of America, Special Olympics, Tug Valley Recovery Shelter, and the USO.
Teresa Maynard, executive director of the fund, expresses that her organization is truly “people helping people,” and it strives to “raise money in Logan to help our people of Logan.” All of the financial contributions distributed by the Logan County Community Fund are made possible by donations.
