Assistant Regional Director
Ed Martin serves as assistant regional director of Civitas Media’s Mountain region (Logan, Madison, Gilbert, Pineville and Williamson, W.Va.) and as publisher of the Williamson Daily News.
A 25-year veteran of the newspaper business, Martin hails from Newell, W.Va., an area in the northern panhandle. He graduated from Oak Glen High School in New Cumberland, W.Va. Martin and his wife, Tina, are the parents of six children and several grandchildren. He has been active in various civic organizations and was a former youth football, basketball, baseball and soccer coach. Martin was named one of the Most 100 Influential in Washington County (Pa.).
Martin most recently worked for the Tribune Review Newspapers as assistant general manager in the Pittsburgh, Penn., area. He also was the former publisher at the Floyd County Times in Prestonsburg, Ky., in the late 1990s. Martin has been a member of the Pennsylvania Press Association, Newspaper Association of America and Interstate Circulation Managers Association.

Martha Toth Sparks has been employed with The Logan Banner since 2000 in the editorial department. Her job duties include obituaries for both The Logan Banner, Williamson Daily News, and Coal Valley News, and calendars, society and news reports for The Logan Banner. Sports Editor/Content Producer
Paul Adkins is the award-winning Sports Editor of the Logan Banner. Adkins, a veteran of more than 20 years in the newspaper business, has won numerous awards in sports writing and photography at newspapers in West Virginia, Kentucky and Michigan and has been the Logan Banner Sports Editor since 1999. Adkins has covered sporting events over the years in seven different states and Canada. Adkins was born in Pontiac, Mich., and is a 1994 graduate of Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, Mich., where he earned a degree in journalism. Adkins loves sports with his favorites being high school and college football, the National Football League, the Canadian Football League and also Major League Baseball and the Olympics. Robin Richards is an Advertising Rep for the Logan Banner. She has been with The Logan Banner for more than 15 years.
