Vance honored with second All State Band invitation

CHAPMANVILLE, W.Va. — Chapmanville Regional High School sophomore Skylar Vance recently participated in her second year at All State Band.

The bass clarinetist was honored with her second invitation to All State Band saying, “It was amazing…It’s really fun to get to work with a bunch of cool musicians.”

This year, the All State Band performed at Charleston’s Municipal Auditorium.

Vance professed a love for music saying she started playing music in sixth grade.

Vance explained she can play bass clarinet, bassoon, violin, cello, flute, piano and trombone.

Exploring her future in music, Vance explained she is interesting in continuing her musical training on the collegiate level.
