How to cook a turkey – Pre-K Style

MAN, W.Va. — The Pre-K students at Man Elementary share their unique recipes on how to cook a turkey.

Jon B. — I get my turkey from Mrs. Adkins. Mommy cooks the turkey. She puts it in the oven and cooks it. She takes it out and puts it on the table. It taste like turkey.

Jacob B. — I get the turkey from Mrs. Adkins and Mrs. Walker. My family cooks it with a chef. They put it in the oven for 5 minutes at 90 degrees.

Mason B. — We get our turkey from a hunter, my uncle Tom. My mamaw cooks it in the oven for 4 minutes.

Jack C. — We get our turkey from Rite Aid. Nana cooks it. She makes it and gets it out of the oven. She needs to watch it. Last time, she burned our bread.

Jackson D. — Mommy gets the turkey from the Dollar Store. Mommy cooks it. She puts it in the oven for 2 minutes at 1 degree.

Haylee E. — My mommy gets the turkey from the store. The cookers cook the turkey. They put chicken and some mashed up burritos. They put it on the stove in a pan. Then, they cook it and it’s ready.

Terry E. — My dad and me go turkey hunting and me shoot it. Nobody cooks it.

Ella G. — We get the turkey at the store. The people who lives in the house cooks it. Gran Opal cooks everything for the party. My papaw helps her.

Peyton H. — We don’t have a turkey. We just all make stuff. I’m making cupcakes. We’re having carrot cake.

Isabella J. — Peyton gets the turkey down the road. Mrs. Adkins cooks the turkey cause she’s a big girl. You put milk in it and put some ice on it and it’s done and you cut it into pieces.

Bentley M. — We get the turkey from a deer. My daddy cooks it. He uses the oven. He cooks it for 2 minutes. It tastes like fresh.

Sahana P. — We get the turkey from the Dollar Store. My daddy cooks it. He puts it in the oven. He puts it on plates so we can eat. We don’t have anything else. It tastes like a turkey.

Avarie P. — We get the turkey from a chicken. My mamaw cooks it. She puts it on plates and lets us eat it. It tastes like candy bars. The turkey is really good.

Jaxon S. — I get my turkey from my house. My mom cooks the turkey. She just destroys it, like magic. I just eat it up.

Lacie S. — I get my turkey at home. My mommy cooks it. She cuts it with a knife and she eats it. I eat it. It tastes like macaroni and cheese.

Railey V. — I get my turkey at school. My mommy burns it. Her cut it. Her tear it. It tastes like chicken.

Skyler W. — Mommy gets the turkey at home. It’s gonna be cold and then she gets it out. She ate it all. JJ didn’t eat it all. I didn’t. My mommy did.

Jayda W. — We get our turkey from school. I take it home. Mommy cooks it. She puts it in the oven. She gets it out of the oven. It tastes like chicken.

Pre-K teacher is Mrs. Jacinda Adkins, teacher assistant is Mrs. Johanna Walker, and Mrs. Linda Burgess is Principal.
