Spriggs graduates dentistry school

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Adam E. Spriggs, D.O.S. of Logan, W.Va., graduated May 17, 2015, from West Virginia University’s School of Dentistry where he earned the degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery. The ceremony was held at the Waterfront Place Hotel in Morgantown.

Dr. Spriggs is the son of Shirley Dardi of Logan and Mark Spriggs of Madison, W.Va. He is the grandson of Benny and Catherine Adkins of Verdunville, W.Va., and Rita Spriggs and the late Larry Spriggs of Switzer, W.Va.

He is a graduate of Logan High School. He is also a graduate of the first Dental Hygiene Class of Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College. Spriggs earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from Marshall University.

The WVU School of Dentistry is the state’s only dental school. More than 80 percent of West Virginia dentists are graduates of the program. Many of the faculty and graduates are recognized leaders in dental education and organized dentistry throughout the nation.

Dr. Spriggs has accepted a position with Lane & Associates Family Dentistry in Raleigh, N.C.
