VERDUNVILLE — The Maryetta United Baptist Church Ladies’ Circle met Thurs., Aug. 6, 2015, for their regularly-scheduled monthly meeting.

Circle 2, with Linda Evans as Captain and Co-captains Kaye Curry and Murial Meade, hosted the affair.

The devotion was by Janie Ragland. There was congregational singing and prayer along with testimonies given. The door prize was won by Peggy Elkins.

The business session was conducted by President Sandra Butcher; in the absence of Rosemary Bailey, the financial report for July was read by assistant secretary Evans. Prayer Partners were exchanged. Butcher called for reports and October’s calendar was discussed. Margaret Gore made the motion for the approval of the yearly bazaar; Shirley Baisden seconded the motion; the bazaar will be Saturday, November 7th. Kaye Curry made a motion for adjournment; motion seconded by Meade.

Closing prayer and a blessing over the buffet was offered by Butcher.

Those attending included Sandra Butcher, Linda Evans, Joyce Childers, Betty Taylor, Alice Baisden, Margaret Gore, Emily Gore, Shirley Baisden, Lorna Gore, Jean Maynard, Murial Meade, Janie Ragland (guest speaker), Kaye Curry, Juanita Evans, Dixie Long, Tammy Workman and granddaughter Emily Workman, Peggy Elkins, Trish Grubb, and Gay Damron.
