Maryetta UB ladies auxiliary meets

VERDUNVILLE — The Maryetta United Baptist Church Ladies’ Auxiliary met Thurs., Sept. 10, 2015, for their regularly-scheduled monthly meeting. Circle No. 3 hosted the affair with Dixie Long, captain, and Becky Nagy and Joetta Butcher, co-captains.

Long welcomed the ladies, as well as offered a devotion entitled “Encouraging”. Lorna McDonald led the congregational prayer and Joyce Childers led the congregational singing of “Love Lifted Me”. Childers also sang solo “Have Thine Own Way Lord” and “Where He Leads Me”. Sandra Butcher sang a jingle, “O, The Lord is Good to Me”. There was a prayer partner exchange.

The business session was conducted by Butcher, ladies’ auxiliary president, and Rosemary Bailey, secretary/treasurer.

Several of the ladies won the table centerpiece door prizes.

The closing prayer and blessing over the buffet was offered by Butcher.

There were 19 in attendance: Sandra Butcher, Rosemary Bailey, Dixie Long, Gay Damron, Kelly Grubb (her first time attending), Patricia Grubb, Peggy Elkins, Linda Evans, Juanita Evans, Kaye Curry, Lorna McDonald, Tara Lucas, Lucille Tomblin, Betty Taylor, Jackie Tomblin, Joyce Childers, Margaret Gore, Becky Nagy, and Shirley Baisden.
