C’Anna Decker, a ninth-grade student at Logan High School, has been named the winner of the 2015-2016 Logan County Schools Attendance Awareness Poster Contest. Decker’s winning artwork featured a Wizard of Oz theme with the phrase “There’s No Place Like School.” It will be displayed on a billboard within the county.

On Thursday, October 22, 2015, Decker, along with LHS art teacher Stephen Justice, were recognized for the winning artwork during the Logan County Board of Education’s meeting at Ralph R. Willis Career and Technical Center. Presenting the award was Cathy Adkins, Director of Attendance for Logan County Schools. This is the second year for the contest, and it is a part of the county’s “Every Student, Every Day” Attendance Campaign.
