DELBARTON — Former Delbarton resident and Nashville recording artist Renea Roberts will be coming home to formally release her latest album, “Rough Around the Edges.”
Roberts will be performing Saturday, November 14, at the Delbarton Opry House, in a free concert beginning at 7 p.m.
Roberts will be singing and telling the stories behind each song off the album. There will also be a meet and greet following the show.
Roberts recently held a talent contest entitled “Voice Of The Valley” at her hometown high school, Tug Valley. The winner, Savannah Flutty, will open the show for Roberts.
This time last year, Roberts released a major music video of her latest single filmed at Tug Valley High School titled “Stand Your Ground.” “I actually wrote the song and it is my single out right now on iTunes,” Roberts said. “The video is on my website, renearobertsmusic.com and on YouTube. I include family members, some friends and kids from the school. It was all local people that participated in the video. The people who actually shot the video were from West Virginia.”
The video was played in the Mingo County Schools during October for anti-bully month.
Roberts also brought home the Nashville, Tennessee Josie Show Country Blast Radio music video of the year award for “Stand Your Ground”. She has also been featured in many magazines for her accomplishments including Today and Tonight Magazine , The Vnside Magazine, Nashville Tenn., and Cashbox Magazine. She was also feature on Klaw Morning Crew Catch of the Day for Klaw 101 Oklahomas best country radio as best upcoming new artist.
Roberts recently returned from a show in Florida where she interviewed with four radio stations, The Big Max 98.3, WLKF 1430, WONN 107.1, and Florida’s biggest radio station 97 Country 97.5fm WPCV where Renea was the featured guest on the CMA award nominated Morning Show with Roger Todd and Mellisa Moran the 97 Country Breakfast Club.
Roberts is inviting all her friends and family to come to the album release free concert Saturday, November 14, at the Delbarton Opry House.
“I’m inviting everyone in the neighborhood to the release of my official album ‘Rough Around The Edges,’” Roberts said. “And it is absolutely free.”
Roberts is the daughter of Harley and Teresa Jones of Delbarton.
