MAN — START (Seniors Taking Active Roles Today) will host their monthly meeting at noon Thurs., June 25, at Bruce McDonald Memorial United Methodist Church.
The May meeting was held May 28 at the church. Birdhouses that were fishing shacks, boat docks, log cabins, patriotic designs, and many other styles decorated the pastel covered tables.
Delores Spears was the lone birthday celebrant who led members and guest to the heavily laden lunch buffet.
As part of the Memorial Holiday, members of START who have passed away were honored. A memorial table included an open bible, candles, and a single white rose. Gretchen Donahue read the thirty names of those passed and a she read a poem entitled “Where Do They Go?”
Door Prizes were awarded following the business meeting.
