Klele celebrates birthday


Bess Elswick Klele was honored with a surprise party March 27 in honor of her 90th birthday. Klele, a resident of Quarry Manor in Charleston, was born April 4, 1926. The event was held at the home of her niece, Susan Ferrell at Mt. Carbon, W.Va. Klele was married to the late Albert Klele Jr. She worked at Logan Mercantile and was a member of the Logan Country Club. Klele is pictured with her brother, Foster Elswick, who turned 92 in September 2015. Elswick worked as a printer at the Logan News and the Letter Shop in Logan. He resides with his daughter in Mt. Carbon.
