JUSTICE ADDITION, W.Va. — Wallace and Beulah Williamson of Justice Addition will celebrate their 70th Wedding Anniversary Wednesday, June 22, 2016. They were married in Paintsville, Ky., by the County Clerk.
The couple was childhood sweethearts and classmates in a two room school on Jenny’s Creek in Wayne County.
Mr. Williamson served in the US Navy from June 1944-46. He graduated from the Huntington School of Business and was immediately employed at the National Bank of Logan; retiring after 42 years and nine months. Mrs. Williamson served as a housewife and mother.
The couple has been members of the Central United Baptist Church in Logan for 56 years. Mr. Williamson has served as a deacon for 54 years and has served as treasurer of the church. Both Mr. and Mrs. Williamson have sung in the church choir all those years and enjoyed their fellowship in the Bethlehem Association. Mrs. Williamson has also served as a member of the Ladies Auxiliary.
They are the proud parents of three children: Gloria (Wayne) Wagner of Carr, Colo., Cecilia (Roger) Bias of Man, W.Va., and Debra (Pastor John E.) Godby of McConnell, W.Va. They have seven grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
