WVU announces Spring graduates

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – But all of the nearly 4,500 members of West Virginia University’s Class of 2016 who crossed paths in Morgantown are united by a journey that culminated on Commencement weekend (May 13-15) in 17 ceremonies that catapulted them to their next adventure.

Local students graduating were:

  • Boone — Derrick Bolden of Gordon; Alexander Griffith and Griffith Emily, both of Peytona; Chance Grillot of Foster; Nickalas Holstein and Joshua Woodard, both of Racine; Lucky Lucente and Emily Shreve, both of Madison; Cori Martin of Wharton; Brittney Mullins and Kelsey Scott, both of Uneeda; Zachary Paitsel of Danville; Skylar Pauley of Ashford; Tonya Pettry of Seth and Jessica Spears of Sylvester.
  • Logan — Sara Burgess of Accoville; Kayla Duvall, Anitra Ellis, Makayla Gresham, Parth Patel and Shawn Willis, all of Chapmanville; Daniel Gaikowski of Accoville; Jaclyn Hobbs, Michelle Howerton and Tyler Howerton, all of Logan; Whitney Loggins of Verdunville and John Vance of Davin.
  • Mingo — Christopher Atkins, Tyler Channell, James Fugett, Cheyenne Hall, Christopher Ooten and Jessica Sanger, all of Williamson; Baisden Whitney of Wharncliffe; Renetta Brewer of Kermit; Brandy Cozmyk, Jessica Hall, and Beverly Price, all of Delbarton, and Alisha Kirkpatrick and Jonathan Lester, both of Gilbert.
  • Wyoming — Andrew Alfrey and Chelsea Whitten, both of Oceana; Whitney Chafin and Jodi Cook, both of Pineville; Freida Lambert of Herndon, and Levi Stevens of Rock View.
